If you’re experiencing crashes, freezing, or missing assets in FBC: Firebreak on the Epic Games Launcher, use the launcher’s Verify function. This tool scans the installation and re‑downloads corrupted or missing files to ensure your game matches the latest version.
Steps to verify game files on Epic Games Launcher
Open the Epic Games Launcher and select Library.
Find FBC: Firebreak in your list of games and click the … (three dots) next to it.
Choose Manage from the context menu.
Click Verify. The launcher will begin checking your files and will display a progress bar.
Wait for the process to complete. If any files are missing or corrupt, the launcher will automatically download replacements.
Once verification finishes, click Launch to start the game and see if the issue is resolved.
Important Notes
Verification may take several minutes, depending on your internet speed and the size of the game.
Do not rename or move the installation directory; doing so may cause the verification to fail.
Keeping the Epic Games Launcher itself up to date can prevent issues with game installs and updates.
