CONTROL Ultimate Edition runs entirely on remote servers using streaming technology. A stable, high-speed internet connection is required to play smoothly.
Manage Network Settings
Go to System Settings.
From the HOME Menu, select the gear icon → Internet → Internet Settings.Use a 5 GHz Wi-Fi Network.
If your router supports it, connect your Switch to the 5 GHz band instead of 2.4 GHz. This provides stronger, faster, and more stable signals for streaming.Position Your Router.
Keep the router within 3–5 meters (10–15 feet) of your console. Avoid obstructions like walls, microwaves, or Bluetooth devices.Consider a Wired Connection.
For maximum stability, connect your Switch using a Wired LAN Adapter (available for docked mode).Optional: Set a Manual DNS.
Go to Internet Settings → Connection Settings → Change Settings → DNS Settings → Manual.
Set Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8, Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4.
Test Your Connection.
Go to System Settings → Internet → Test Connection to confirm your connection is stable.Target Speed: 10 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload (minimum).
NAT Type: A or B preferred for smooth connections.
Resolve Cloud Streaming Lag or Disconnection Issues
Pause Background Network Usage.
Stop any downloads, updates, or streaming services running in the background or on other devices on the same Wi-Fi network.Restart Console and Router.
Power off your Switch and unplug your router for 30 seconds, then reconnect both. This clears cached routing data and improves streaming stability.Minimize Interference.
Keep Bluetooth devices, cordless phones, or microwaves away from your router or console during play.Re-Test Your Connection.
Go to System Settings → Internet → Test Connection again and confirm speed and stability meet the requirements.Contact Your ISP (If Persistent).
If your test results show consistent latency or packet loss, contact your Internet Service Provider to ensure your network isn’t throttled during game streaming.
