CONTROL Ultimate Edition on Amazon Luna is a cloud-streamed game, meaning all gameplay happens on Amazon’s servers and is transmitted to your device over the internet.
A stable and fast connection is essential to maintain visual quality, responsiveness, and prevent stuttering or disconnections.

1. Test Your Internet Connection

Option 1: Use Amazon Luna’s Built-In Test

    1. Go to  luna.amazon.com and sign in with your Amazon account.
  1. Click your profile icon → Settings → Connection Test.

  2. Wait for the test to complete. You’ll see:

    • Download Speed

    • Upload Speed

    • Network Stability

    • Latency (the delay between your input and Luna’s server response)

Recommended Results:

MetricMinimumRecommendedIdeal
Download Speed10 Mbps20 Mbps35 Mbps+ (for 4K)
Upload Speed2 Mbps3 Mbps5 Mbps+
Latency≤ 80 ms≤ 60 ms≤ 40 ms

Option 2: Use a Third-Party Test
If you can’t access Luna’s test yet:

  • Visit  fast.com or speedtest.net.
  • Let the test run automatically.

  • Click Show More Info to check latency and upload speed.

2. Check Your Results

SymptomLikely CauseWhat to Do
Low Download Speed (<10 Mbps)Weak Wi-Fi or network congestionSwitch to 5 GHz Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet
High Latency (>80 ms)Distance from router or heavy network useMove closer to router, reduce other streaming/download activity
Frequent Lag or StuttersUnstable bandwidth or interferenceRestart modem/router and reconnect to Luna
Pixelation / Visual DowngradeInsufficient or inconsistent throughputLower streaming quality in Luna Settings

3. Fix Common Connection Issues

  1. Restart your Router and Modem

    • Unplug both for 30 seconds, then reconnect.

    • Wait for the network to fully stabilize before restarting Luna.

  2. Restart Your Streaming Device

    • Whether on Fire TV, browser, or PC app, restart it to clear cached data.

  3. Use a Wired Ethernet Connection (If Possible)

    • Directly connect your device to the router using an Ethernet cable.

    • This eliminates Wi-Fi interference and ensures consistent speed.

  4. Switch to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi Band

    • If using wireless, select the 5 GHz network in your Wi-Fi settings.

    • Avoid 2.4 GHz as it’s slower and more prone to interference.

  5. Pause Background Activity

    • Stop video streaming, downloads, or file uploads on other devices.

  6. Disable VPN or Proxy Services

    • VPNs can increase latency and reroute your connection to distant servers.

4. Optimize Luna’s Streaming Settings

  1. Open the Luna app or website.

  2. Go to Settings → Streaming Quality.

  3. Select a lower resolution (Balanced or 720p) if your connection struggles with 1080p.

  4. If gameplay stabilizes, gradually raise the resolution again later.

Device-Specific Notes

For Fire TV:

  • Close background apps and re-launch Luna.

  • Ensure system software is up to date.

For Browser (PC or Mac):

  • Use the latest Chrome, Edge, or Safari version.

  • Disable extensions like ad blockers or VPN plugins.

For Luna App (Windows/macOS):

  • Relaunch the app if streaming performance drops.

  • Confirm auto-updates are enabled through Amazon.

Retest Your Connection: After applying the fixes, run the Luna Connection Test again. Confirm your latency and stability scores have improved. You should now see smoother visuals and reduced input lag.

  • If your connection meets requirements but you continue to experience severe lag or disconnections, contact Amazon Luna Support for assistance.
