If you’re experiencing crashes, graphical issues, or gameplay bugs in CONTROL Ultimate Edition, attaching a screenshot or short video clip helps our QA and development teams identify and resolve issues much faster.

Option 1: Using Snipping Tool

  1. Press Windows + Shift + S.

  2. The screen will dim - drag to select the area you want to capture.

  3. The image will be copied to your clipboard.

  4. Open the Snipping Tool or Paint, press Ctrl + V to paste, and click Save As.

📂 Save your image as a .png or .jpg file.

Option 2: Using Print Screen

  1. Press PrtScn (Print Screen) on your keyboard to capture your full screen.

  2. Open Paint or another image editor.

  3. Press Ctrl + V to paste, then Save As.

Option 3: Alt + Print Screen

  1. Press Alt + PrtScn to capture only the currently active window.

  2. Paste into Paint or your preferred editor and save.

This is useful for capturing error messages or specific pop-ups in-game.

Capturing a Video Clip (Using Xbox Game Bar)

  1. Press Windows + G to open the Xbox Game Bar.

  2. In the Capture window:

    • Click Start Recording (●) to begin.

    • Press Windows + Alt + R to stop recording.

  3. Your video will automatically save to:
    C:\Users\[YourUsername]\Videos\Captures

Optional Settings

To adjust recording shortcuts, resolution, or duration:

  1. Open Game Bar Settings (⚙️ icon).

  2. Go to Capturing → Video Quality to customize recording options.

Submitting Your Files

Once you’ve captured your screenshot or video:

Accepted file types:.jpg,.png,.mp4,.avi,.mov
File size limit: 25 MB (larger files can be shared via a cloud link, e.g., Google Drive or OneDrive).

Important Notes for Helpful Visuals

  • Capture the moment right before or during the issue.

  • Include visible UI elements (mission name, HUD, sector, etc.).

  • Keep videos short (under 30–60 seconds).

  • Use stable angles to ensure details are clear.

  • If uploading externally, ensure your link is public or accessible.

Note: Visuals are optional but significantly improve investigation speed, especially for intermittent issues or visual bugs that can’t be replicated consistently.

  2. Describe your issue. Select Bug Reports, Game Froze/Crash, or the most relevant option, and answer the bot’s questions. Be sure to include your email address, platform (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, etc.), User ID, screenshot/video, and a clear description of what went wrong.

  3. Provide additional details. Player Support may ask you for additional files or info that may help with your issue, such as Error Code/Message, DxDiag, or MSInfo.
